Liminal is here!
Liminal | Feature Walkthrough
However you found us, thanks for having a look! We're FlickSwitch Audio, a small team based in Australia making the plugins we want to use that don't exist yet.
Today we're releasing Liminal, a Dynamic Threshold Processor. Liminal allows you to process your audio with a suite of world class effects targeted based on the intensity of transients in your instruments, groups, or entire busses. Think of all our favorite multiband processors based on EQ, but the display is flipped vertically and your processing is based on transients rather than EQ. It's great for effecting rimshots, ghost notes, and normal snare hits independently, balancing dynamic performances such as piano and guitar, applying creative processing to a vocal for a new level of clarity, dramatically turning acoustic instruments into new synth sounds, automating on and off for creative glitch effects and transition, and much more!
We intentionally chose an ambitious plugin for our first project, and we spent a lot of time making sure it's easy to understand once you get your hands on it. That's what the free trial is for! We also aim to be as transparent as possible, which is why we publicly post a development roadmap (you'll see many incoming features influenced by our beta testers) as well as a public changelog to track all of our bug-squashing and added features.
We'll be posting here a couple times per month when we have cool updates to share. We're working on an educational series showcasing how to use Liminal for different genres of music, and today we're proud to have worked with number of creators on launch to showcase the capabilities of Liminal.
Thank you for coming on this journey with us. We're really excited about what we can make together. We have a lot planned such as the release of a completely free plugin later this year, so sign up for our mailing list to stay in touch!
